Dear Minnesota - Les Bergquist

Les Bergquist shares the legacy of his great-grandparents, Gustaf and Anna Lovisa Bergquist, two Swedish immigrants who settled in Western Minnesota during the late 1800's.

By Les Bergquist

"Today the direct descendants of Gustaf and Anna Lovisa number approximately 510"

A current resident of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Les Bergquist traces the origins of his American story to his great-grandparents, Gustaf and Anna Lovisa Berquist, who first arrived in the United States in 1871 after immigrating from Småland, Sweden. Along with many other homesteaders during this period, Les shares how they both eventually settled in Western Minnesota, where many of their descendants still live today.
